Background

At 11:00 p.m. on May 30, 1978, two witnesses were stargazing with a telescope five miles west of Tulsa, Oklahoma, when they saw four gray-white ovals in a fixed, sword-like formation pass silently overhead in a straight line from the southwest. Each oval was about the size of the moon and flew at a 45° angle to the direction of travel. The objects were lost behind trees above the northeast horizon. The account follows the entry in George M. Eberhart's chronology UFOs and Intelligence (CUFOS) and the sources cited there; it is not an independent determination by From Beyond Space.
