On September 2, 1978, between 8:00 and 8:15 a.m., 14-year-old Roberto Pozzi in a western suburb of Alessandria, Piedmont, saw an object over a cornfield shoot up into the air and found a patch of bent-down stalks.
Background
Between 8:00 and 8:15 a.m. Roberto Pozzi, 14, heard a noise like ducks and hissing combined in a western suburb of Alessandria, Piedmont, Italy, and saw an object over a nearby cornfield. It stopped making noise, swung laterally and shot up into the air. He found a 22-by-10-foot depressed area where cornstalks were bent down halfway up the stalk, two rows to the east and a third row to the west. Other sightings took place in the same area on September 3, 6, 7 and 13. The account follows the entry in George M. Eberhart's chronology UFOs and Intelligence (CUFOS) and the sources cited there; it is not an independent determination by From Beyond Space.
