Background

At dusk Kate Chmurny, an archaeologist at Plymouth State College in New Hampshire, watched a triangular object flying northward at 30 mph along Interstate 93, about 100 feet above the Pemigewasset River floodplain in Campton, New Hampshire. It was about 20 feet wide and completely silent, moving by raising and lowering one side. It had a single bright white light on the underside and rows of red and greenish lights along the edges that reflected off a metallic surface. Joseph K. Long described the sighting in a letter in the CUFOS Associate Newsletter in 1983. The account follows the entry in George M. Eberhart's chronology UFOs and Intelligence (CUFOS) and the sources cited there; it is not an independent determination by From Beyond Space.
