Roosevelt, UT: Silver domed UFO hovers
On August 11, 1978, a junior high student in Roosevelt, Utah, observed a silver domed object with green glow and body lights. It caused electrical failures; his mother and police officer also witnessed it depart rapidly.

Witnesses and Observation
At 22:30, Dale Wood, a middle school pupil, heard a whirring sound in Roosevelt, Utah. He looked up and saw a silver, dome-shaped object surrounded by a green glow. It passed over him, then hovered, showing patterns of lights on its underside and a bright central light.
Movements and Effects
The object began to circle. Dale ran to his grandmother's house to fetch his brother. There the air conditioning and television failed, and dogs whined in fear. His mother Larain Wood came outside, saw the object circle twice and then shoot off rapidly to the northeast.
Police Involvement
Larain Wood telephoned the tribal police at Fort Duchesne. Officer David Murray was sent out, investigated, and also watched the object lift away at high speed and disappear.
Significance
