Iran: Boeing 707 pilot sees purple UFO, yellow light

On June 11, 1978, at 10:30 p.m., Capt. Namdar piloting a Boeing 707 from Shiraz to Tehran observed a large purple object speeding below over Isfahan. The aircraft was then bathed in intense yellow light from two sources, feeling extremely hot, with the object following before a part separated southeast.

On June 11, 1978 at 22:30, Captain Namdar was flying a Boeing 707 from Shiraz to Tehran and descending through 25,000 feet over Isfahan, Iran. He noticed a large violet object passing below him at high speed. Tehran airport could not confirm any radar return.

Observations and Effects

Brilliant yellow light from two sources suddenly filled the cabin, with a heat like a sunny summer day in Spain. The violet light followed the aircraft until part of the UFO detached and flew off to the southeast. The main object then disappeared.
