Background

Just after midnight Meagen Quezet and her son André went looking for their dog, which had run off barking from their home in the Mindalore section of Krugersdorp, South Africa. On a remote country road they found the dog standing 60 feet from a lead-colored, egg-shaped object with landing gear, with five or six dark-skinned beings in white or pink suits in front of it; one with a beard bowed to Quezet and said something unintelligible. When André ran to fetch his father, the beings entered the craft, which took off with a purring sound. Under hypnotic regression by Bernard Levinson on June 21, Quezet recalled the “leader” urging her to come on board, which she did with her son before they jumped out again, protesting that they could not go. Cynthia Hind investigated the case in the MUFON UFO Journal; a Johannesburg Sunday Times article of January 28, 1980, cited in the entry, quoted an expert calling it a hoax. The account follows the entry in George M. Eberhart's chronology UFOs and Intelligence (CUFOS) and the sources cited there; it is not an independent determination by From Beyond Space.
