Shelby, Ohio: Woman sees jetliner-sized object overhead, head pain and missing time follow
One evening in February 1979, a woman in Shelby, Ohio, saw lights merge behind her dog kennel and a jetliner-sized object with red and green lights pass overhead; she fell to her knees with severe head pain, and she and her aunt could not account for 45 to 50 minutes.
Background
At 8:30 p.m. a woman and her aunt in Shelby, Ohio, were sitting down to watch television when a bright light shone outside their window, hanging in the air behind their dog kennel. When the woman went out, two more lights appeared and entered the first one, which was then replaced by red and green lights that resolved into many lights of both colors on an object. As she approached, the object, as big as a jetliner with bolts on its base as large as volleyballs, moved toward her and passed overhead. Her dog whined and cowered, and a severe pain in her head made her fall to her knees; as the object moved away with a soft whirring noise she got back on her feet. She estimated she had been outside for five minutes, but she and her aunt could not account for an additional 45 to 50 minutes, and her headache persisted for several weeks. Michael D. Swords described the case from the Timmerman files. The account follows the entry in George M. Eberhart's chronology UFOs and Intelligence (CUFOS) and the sources cited there; it is not an independent determination by From Beyond Space.
