In the early evening of April 12, 1979, a family driving home from the grocery store in Brockton, Massachusetts, saw a piano-shaped object with lights and a spotlight; the car windows went down and up by themselves while it followed them, and at home it shot a beam down at the father and the son.

In the early evening a family was driving home from the grocery store at Brockton, Massachusetts, when they saw a piano-shaped object with lights all over it, a spotlight beaming down and one red light on top. After they lost sight of it, all four car windows suddenly went down and back up, then halfway down and back up; the same happened when they stopped at a red light. They saw the object again, now following them, and when they parked near their house it hovered across the street. When the man shut off the engine, the windows acted up again as the object moved directly overhead. The father and son got out of the car, and the object shot a beam down at each of them in turn before moving down the street and away. The account follows the entry in George M.
