Red Wing, Minnesota: Nursing home staff watch silent lighted triangle overhead
At 9 p.m. on January 13, 1980, Brenda Simanski, Janine Mattson and three others at the Seminary Nursing Home in Red Wing, Minnesota, watched a silent triangle with white, blue and red lights pass overhead.
Background
At 9:00 p.m. Brenda Simanski and Janine Mattson finished their shift at the Seminary Nursing Home on Pioneer Road in Red Wing, Minnesota. In the parking lot they saw a star making a bizarre zigzag pattern; as it moved above them they saw a triangle 15 feet wide and 20 feet long with two white lights in front, blue lights in two of the corners and a red light between the blue ones. Three other witnesses came out of the building and also watched the object, which left slowly and silently to the north-northwest. The Red Wing Republican Eagle reported the sighting on January 15, 1980. The account follows the entry in George M. Eberhart's chronology UFOs and Intelligence (CUFOS) and the sources cited there; it is not an independent determination by From Beyond Space.
