Background
On 13 September 1980, campers near Hamilton, Texas, reported a yellow glow, a humming sound, and a triangular object at low altitude. They described a greenish or gray underside and several colored lights; the object moved slowly north, paused briefly, and disappeared. About 30 minutes later, the witnesses heard an explosion and saw sparks above a hill. MUFON investigated the report. The account remains witness testimony; it does not establish either a conventional or an extraordinary cause.
