Jesup, Georgia: Many residents see brilliant triangle with red lights descend over trees

On January 22, 1981, many witnesses saw a brilliant triangular object with multiple red lights descending swiftly above the treetops just southeast of Jesup, Georgia. It was visible for only a few seconds. The Jesup Press Sentinel reported the sighting on January 31, 1981, and the APRO Bulletin and David Marler's book on triangular UFOs list the case. The account follows the entry in George M. Eberhart's chronology UFOs and Intelligence (CUFOS) and the sources cited there; it is not an independent determination by From Beyond Space.
