Victoria, British Columbia: Two expressionless men question Breiland, then vanish
On the afternoon of October 5, 1981, Grant Breiland was approached in Victoria, British Columbia, by two men in dark suits who asked for his name, address and phone number and then vanished in a field.
Background
Grant Breiland went to the business district of Victoria to meet a friend and, when the friend did not show, called him from a pay phone. Immediately afterward he noticed two men in dark suits watching him, with suntanned, expressionless faces and unblinking eyes, whose lips did not move when they spoke. The first asked his name and the second his address and phone number. He did not answer, and after 5 seconds the men left and walked in perfect synchronization to a nearby road and into a muddy plowed field 80–90 feet across, where they vanished three-quarters of the way across without leaving footprints. While the men were visible, no other people were in view and no cars passed. The account follows the entry in George M.
