Background
At 11:30 p.m. on April 1, 1982, Nanette Morrison looked out her front window and saw a bright, fluorescent object hovering a few hundred feet above the tree line, a short distance from her home in Charlottesville, Virginia. She called her mother to come and look. As her mother did so, the object flared up brightly and zipped away at great speed. The Charlottesville Daily Progress reported the sighting on April 2, 1982; J. Allen Hynek later wrote about the case in the International UFO Reporter. The account follows the entry in George M. Eberhart's chronology UFOs and Intelligence (CUFOS) and the sources cited there; it is not an independent determination by From Beyond Space.
