Near Exeter, NH: Egg-shaped object with red lights
Four women from New England Bell saw a low-flying bright light that approached their car near Exeter, NH, on September 30, 1982. They stopped, exited the vehicle, and observed an egg-shaped craft with swirling red lights and a downward white beam before it descended behind trees.
Background
Witnesses and Circumstances
Four managers from the New England Bell Company — Mary Ann Poland (driver), Rose Messina, Mary LaMontagne, and Nicky LeClair — were driving back to Exeter, New Hampshire in a Mercedes at around 22:15 after visiting a fair to the north. All held responsible positions in the company.
Sighting and Behaviour
A bright light flew low toward them. Poland stopped the car and all of them got out as if under a strong compulsion. The object was egg-shaped with rotating red lights around its equator and a white beam of light angled down to one side. After a few minutes it descended behind the treeline.
