Adana, Turkey: Crowds see bright domed disc, two USAF jets from Incirlik pursue it
On January 14, 1983, at 7:53 p.m., many people in Adana, Turkey, stopped their cars to watch a bright object, described as a disc with a dome on the underside, that two US Air Force jets from Incirlik Air Base circled and pursued over the Mediterranean.
Background
At 7:53 p.m. a bright object appeared in the sky above Adana, Turkey, and many people stopped their cars to look at it. Soon two US Air Force jets from Incirlik Air Base joined it. One of the jets flew in tight circles around the object, which dwarfed it in size and was described as a disc with a dome on the underside. The object accelerated and disappeared over the Mediterranean Sea with the jets in pursuit. Only one jet returned to base, although the other may have been lost during an unrelated search-and-rescue mission. Timothy Good describes the case in Need to Know. The account follows the entry in George M. Eberhart's chronology UFOs and Intelligence (CUFOS) and the sources cited there; it is not an independent determination by From Beyond Space.
