Background
At 9:30 p.m. a mother and her two children were driving near Jasper, New York, when they saw a large, gold, oval object that seemed to be pacing their car. It landed on a nearby ridge and after a few seconds ascended into the sky again. It repeated this maneuver several times, speeding up and slowing down when she did. Bob Gribble listed the report in his UFO Hotline column in IUR in spring 1984. The account follows the entry in George M. Eberhart's chronology UFOs and Intelligence (CUFOS) and the sources cited there; it is not an independent determination by From Beyond Space.
