Prata di Principato Ultra, Italy: Farmer meets hairy entity with blue helmet, UFO departs

At 7:40 a.m. Giuseppe Cocozza went into his alfalfa field near Prata di Principato Ultra, Avellino, Italy, to get fodder for his cow. On the path he encountered an entity about 4 feet tall, wearing a blue helmet and carrying a blue box on its back with tubes running into the helmet and its back; its body was covered with long, dark-brown hair, there was a wide aluminum-colored slit around its eyes, and it appeared to be exploring the ground with a T-shaped instrument. After noticing Cocozza, it moved toward a clearing among hazel bushes, emitting small bluish flames from its sides. The witness backed away and lost sight of it, but saw a UFO ascend at an angle from the bushes, turn and shoot away toward a mountain range. Cocozza returned with a shotgun and found hoof-like footprints, holes left by the instrument and landing marks apparently caused by the object. The account follows the entry in George M.
