Background
At midnight A. N. Olkhovay went out on her balcony in Kyiv, Ukraine, and saw a dim, twinkling, rectangular object shaped “like a loaf of bread” hovering above the Obolon neighborhood. She called her neighbors, and one of them, named Ivanitsky, hastily took two photos. The film was developed in the offices of the newspaper Pravda Ukrainy but showed nothing. V. D. Musinsky described the case in a letter on Soviet ufology in the International UFO Reporter in early 1990. The account follows the entry in George M. Eberhart's chronology UFOs and Intelligence (CUFOS) and the sources cited there; it is not an independent determination by From Beyond Space.
