Event Details

On March 12, 1989 at 19:30, Gary Coker of Skirum, Alabama reported a large unidentified object about 5 miles away, showing flashing red and green lights at the sides and two white lights about 6 feet across underneath. It hovered silently in the air. At the same time a man in Geraldine, Alabama observed an object the size of a football field directly above his chicken house.

Witnesses and Observations

Both witnesses described similar features: metallic blue, with red and green side lights and white lights underneath. The object disappeared immediately as soon as the observers went indoors to fetch a camera or binoculars. No photographs or video resulted.

Significance
