Background

At 9:07 p.m. a woman, her mother and her son were driving through Koblenz-Karthause when they noticed two lights beaming down at them at a 45° angle; the woman pulled to the side of the road to watch. The object bearing the lights stopped almost directly overhead: a large, stationary and noiseless triangle at rooftop height with sides of about 65 feet. Milky, yellowish-white lights were at each of its three corners, and in the center was a larger, mainly gray-blue light whose colors changed as something rotated on the object, which looked metallic and had structures resembling riveted plates. After 2–3 minutes it departed suddenly to the southwest behind the roofs of nearby houses. The woman located two other witnesses who had seen it at nearly the same time. The account follows the entry in George M. Eberhart's chronology UFOs and Intelligence (CUFOS) and the sources cited there; it is not an independent determination by From Beyond Space.
