Gulf Breeze, Florida: Motorist sees disc dart away from jets, deputies watch it climb
At 8:15 p.m. on 5 April 1990, a motorist near the shore at Gulf Breeze, Florida, saw an object shoot away laterally as two military jets approached; he and two sheriff's deputies then watched its bright light ascend slowly for two hours.
Background
A motorist driving near the shore at Gulf Breeze, Florida, saw what looked like a jet fighter about to crash. When two military jets approached from the north, the object immediately shot laterally southward and halted 1–2 miles away. He got out of his car to watch: it appeared to be a white disc with red and green lights spaced evenly around the side and an unlit dome on top, and it slowly began to rise. He called a friend and the sheriff's office; two deputies arrived, and for the next 2 hours all three witnesses watched a bright light continue to ascend slowly. The account follows the entry in George M. Eberhart's chronology UFOs and Intelligence (CUFOS) and the sources cited there; it is not an independent determination by From Beyond Space.
