At 12:30 a.m. on August 12, 1993, two friends watching the Perseid meteor shower in a dark school yard in North Lethbridge, Alberta, saw a dark, gray-black triangular object pass quickly and silently overhead for four to five seconds. Each point of the triangle had a red light. As it disappeared to the south, it flipped upward at a 45° angle. Another witness in a different location saw a similar object around the same time, and local radar showed no unusual traffic. The account follows the entry in George M.
