Childers, Australia: Driver sees green beam from the sky, couple suffers swelling

At 3:00 a.m., a man was driving with his wife near Childers, Queensland, Australia, when he saw an object move quickly across the road. Five minutes later he saw a green beam of light shining down from the sky; the light source seemed to be about 3,000 feet above them. Both he and his wife, who was asleep in the car, experienced swelling in the hands and lips as well as headaches. They both felt compelled to take off their wedding rings and sensed that something else would happen to them. IUR reported the case as an Australian CE2 in 1999.
