At 9:30 p.m. on August 17, 2001, an astronomer in Mitchell, Manitoba, heard loud booming sounds and ran outside to see three steady lights in triangular formation moving from east to west. Mark Rodeghier listed the report in his survey "UFOs in Canada, 2001" in the International UFO Reporter. The account follows the entry in George M. Eberhart's chronology UFOs and Intelligence (CUFOS) and the sources cited there; it is not an independent determination by From Beyond Space.
