Background

A fall of angel hair covered a large area of Alessandria, Italy, including roofs, cars and trees. A sample was recovered and examined by the Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche in Parma, which found “unequivocally” that the filaments were not organic but similar to synthetic polymer textile fibers, with a clear alternation of bright and dark segments. The Agenzia Regionale per la Protezione Ambientale in Turin disputed the finding and declared the material to be spider web. No object sighting is mentioned in the entry. Brian Boldman reviewed the case in the Journal of UFO Studies in 2006. The account follows the entry in George M. Eberhart's chronology UFOs and Intelligence (CUFOS) and the sources cited there; it is not an independent determination by From Beyond Space.
