Two Military Pilots Report a Silent Triangle over Bagram
A military reservist later interviewed by the FBI reported seeing a large, silent, roughly triangular obstruction of the stars pass over Bagram in June 2002. A second pilot present at the location also noticed the passage and immediately confirmed that he had seen it.
Background
During a deployment to Afghanistan, a military reservist who was later interviewed by the FBI was outdoors at Bagram with another pilot. At approximately 4:30 a.m. local time, he noticed that stars were being obscured by a large phenomenon moving from west to east.
The witness described the discernible outline as an equilateral triangle with no visible lights. He estimated its size at roughly 500 feet and its speed at about 150 knots, while acknowledging that he could not see the complete shape. According to his account, it moved steadily and silently.
The second pilot reacted immediately and confirmed that he had also perceived the passage. The FBI interview record entered in 2024 preserves the later witness account but does not provide independent technical verification or a conclusive identification of the observed object.
Significance
The case combines two military eyewitnesses at a major military base with an official FBI interview record created later. Its evidentiary value remains limited to a retrospective account without known sensor or photographic data.
