Halifax, England: Motorists see white glow over moorland and hear apparent jets
At 5:16 p.m. on November 9, 2019, a young couple and other motorists on the A629 near Halifax, West Yorkshire, England, watched a white glow over the moorland and heard what seemed to be fighter jets; Jenny Randles found the aircraft to be two civilian Partenavia P.68 Observers, while no radar target matched the glow itself.
Background
At 5:16 p.m. on November 9, 2019, a young couple driving home on the A629 near Halifax, West Yorkshire, England, saw a white glow over the moorland. They stopped and got out to watch as they heard the roar of what seemed to be fighter jets headed for the glow; other cars also stopped, and some people filmed the object and the jets, as did the couple on their cellphones, but the footage was blurry. The driver's mother started an appeal on social media for other witnesses who had filmed the event. Jenny Randles determined that two aircraft were at that location, but they were neither military nor jets: they were Partenavia P.68 Observers belonging to Ravenair, flying side by side at 2,200 and 2,300 feet and landing at John Lennon Airport in Liverpool 25 minutes later. No radar target matched the UFO itself. The account follows the entry in George M. Eberhart's chronology UFOs and Intelligence (CUFOS) and the sources cited there; it is not an independent determination by From Beyond Space.
