Background
AARO's official description states that this video of 4 minutes 52 seconds, uploader-titled '08 AUG 2020 [call sign redacted] [call sign redacted] UAP observation', is likely derived from an infrared sensor aboard a U.S. military platform operating within the U.S. Central Command area of responsibility in 2020; a user uploaded it to a classified network in August 2020, and AARO notes that many of these materials lack a substantiated chain of custody. Per the timestamped description, the first 47 seconds have no content; at 00:48 an area of contrast enters from the lower right and exits at the lower left, the sensor pans to hold it in the centre from 00:54, zooms in from 01:10 with the contrast remaining visible at the top of the screen, zooms out and in between 01:38 and 04:07, changes visual settings at 04:08β04:25 while continuing to track, and zooms out and in several times until 04:52. The date comes from the uploader-defined title, the location is undisclosed, and AARO states that the description reflects no analytical judgment about the event's validity, nature or significance. The video was released following a 6 March 2026 request by eight members of the House of Representatives for 51 potentially UAP-related records. The details are taken from the records released by the U.S. Department of War (record code DOW-UAP-PR092) and do not represent an independent determination by From Beyond Space.
