Persian Gulf: Infrared sensor tracks UAP transiting the frame, 21 August 2020
On 21 August 2020 an infrared sensor aboard a U.S. military platform in the U.S. Central Command area recorded an area of contrast transiting from top to bottom of the frame over the Persian Gulf; the crew uploaded the clip, titled '21 AUG 2020 [call sign redacted] Observes UAP in Persian Gulf', to a classified network the same month.
Background
The video belongs to the collection on a classified network that AARO identified after the 6 March 2026 request by eight members of the House of Representatives for 51 potentially UAP-related records; AARO notes that many of these materials lack a substantiated chain of custody. AARO assesses that the 4-minute-48-second video is likely derived from an infrared sensor aboard a U.S. military platform operating in the USCENTCOM area of responsibility in 2020 and was uploaded in August 2020. The video description records no content for the first 3 minutes 7 seconds, then at 03:08-03:10 a zoom-out as an area of contrast transits from the top of the screen to the bottom and exits the frame, from 03:11 to 03:48 zooming and panning to track the contrast, and from 03:49 to 04:48 the contrast becoming indistinguishable from the grain of the video. The callsign in the title is withheld; platform, unit and exact location are not disclosed. The date comes from the uploader title and the DVIDS record. The details are taken from the records released by the U.S. Department of War (record code DOW-UAP-PR091) and do not represent an independent determination by From Beyond Space.
