Middle East: Military infrared sensor tracks faint area of contrast for over four minutes
On October 7, 2020, according to the uploader's title, an infrared sensor aboard a U.S. military platform in the U.S. Central Command area tracked an area of contrast for more than four minutes, cycling zoom levels and modalities until the object lost distinctiveness against the background.
Background
The 4-minute-34-second video was uploaded to a classified network in October 2020 with the uploader-defined title '7 October 2020 [callsign] observes UAP'; AARO assesses it as likely derived from an infrared sensor aboard a U.S. military platform operating in the U.S. Central Command area of responsibility in October 2020 and notes the unverified chain of custody of this collection. According to the official video description an area of contrast enters the right side of the field of view and is tracked near the centre (00:09–00:25), the sensor cycles zoom levels while panning (00:26–03:20) and then cycles modalities and zoom to focus on a faint area of contrast (03:21–04:08), which loses distinctiveness against the background at 04:09; after a gap, another area of contrast appears on the right and is centred (04:27–04:34). The platform, the exact location and the observers are not disclosed. The details are taken from the records released by the U.S. Department of War (record code DOW-UAP-PR083) and do not represent an independent determination by From Beyond Space.
