CENTCOM area: Infrared sensor tracks single contrast for a minute on 3 January 2021
On 3 January 2021 an infrared sensor aboard a U.S. military platform in the U.S. Central Command area recorded a video in which, from 01:52 to 02:55, the sensor pans to keep a single area of contrast centred, zooms in and then loses it at the lower left of the frame.
Background
Record DOW-UAP-PR076 is a video with the uploader-defined title '03 January 2021 [call sign redacted] (Mission) observes UAP', uploaded to a classified network in January 2021. AARO assesses the footage as likely derived from a sensor aboard a U.S. military platform; the material was found on a classified network in response to a March 2026 congressional request and lacks a substantiated chain of custody. The official video description is provided for information only and contains no judgement on the validity, nature or significance of the event. Per the official description (duration 00:04:57), the first 1:51 has no content; from 01:52 to 02:48 an area of contrast becomes visible near the centre of the top half of the frame and the sensor pans to keep it generally centred; at 02:49β02:55 the sensor zooms in and the area of contrast exits at the bottom left; the remainder has no content. Callsign, mission, platform and location are undisclosed. The details are taken from the records released by the U.S. Department of War (record code DOW-UAP-PR076) and do not represent an independent determination by From Beyond Space.
