East China Sea: Infrared sensor tracks UAP for 18 seconds before losing it, 9 June 2021
On 9 June 2021 an infrared sensor aboard a U.S. military platform over the East China Sea tracked an area of contrast for 18 seconds and then lost sight of it; the 23-second clip, titled '09JUN2021 [Platform] observed UAP in the ECS', was uploaded to a classified network that month.
Background
The video belongs to the collection on a classified network that AARO identified after the 6 March 2026 request by eight members of the House of Representatives for 51 potentially UAP-related records; AARO notes that many of these materials lack a substantiated chain of custody. AARO assesses that the 23-second video is likely derived from an infrared sensor aboard a U.S. military platform operating above the East China Sea in 2021 and that a user uploaded it in June 2021. The video description records that from 00:01 to 00:18 the sensor pans to track an area of contrast, that at the 18-second mark the sensor loses sight of the object, and that there is no content from 00:19 to 00:23. The platform named in the uploader title is withheld; unit and exact position are not disclosed. The DVIDS record gives the date taken as 9 June 2021 and the location as 'at sea'. The details are taken from the records released by the U.S. Department of War (record code DOW-UAP-PR075) and do not represent an independent determination by From Beyond Space.
