AC-130J Records Reported UAP in the Gulf of Oman
A U.S. AC-130J crew recorded a phenomenon in the Gulf of Oman that was later reported to AARO as an unidentified anomalous phenomenon. Six contemporaneous video sequences were cataloged as PR117 through PR122.
Background
The released material is a secondary cellular recording of an infrared sensor display aboard a U.S. Special Operations Forces AC-130J gunship. In the PR120 clip, an area of contrast initially remains near the center of the display and becomes less distinct after two modality changes. An accompanying Intelligence Information Report described the phenomena as approximately four-foot-wide "cold orbs" without establishing their nature.
Significance
The incident is timeline-relevant because a U.S. military platform produced multiple contemporaneous sensor recordings and CENTCOM formally reported the case to AARO. The available footage is a fidelity-limited secondary recording and does not permit a conclusive identification.
