Northeastern United States: Five years of orb reports from one area — FBI agents see them too

One area, five years

The FBI expressly assigns eleven released records to the same general area in the northeastern United States. The precise location is not given in the release. The documented span runs from November 2021 to interviews conducted in February 2026.

The recorded sightings

November 2021, around 0500 local time — a witness observes a bright light source near the horizon at an estimated 2,000 feet, which resolves into multiple lights moving erratically relative to one another while the whole drifts laterally from left to right.

March 2022, around 1920 — two bright red light sources hover near the horizon at an estimated 2,500 feet, both generally stationary. The lower one rotates slowly relative to the upper, from an apparent 6 o'clock position to slightly beyond 9 o'clock. No sound.

October 2024, around 1851 — above a pond at an estimated 2,700 feet a "plasma-like sphere" hovers, intermittently changing shape and luminosity and at times separating into smaller points of light. One point sits just above the water and does not appear consistent with a surface reflection. It remains generally stationary for about 45 minutes.

2025 — a witness films a "brilliant red sphere" about one metre across in their backyard, roughly 25 feet off the ground, its centre a white plasma "sun" about the size of a basketball. Their spouse comes out and sees it too; both then observe a second one.

Why the case carries weight

Two of the records are not witness statements: an FD-1057 from November 2024 documents first-hand observations by two FBI special agents during the ongoing investigation. A December 2024 site survey followed at the very location where those agents had seen something themselves.
