Iran, over water: Infrared sensor records four contrasts in formation, 26 Aug 2022
On 26 August 2022, according to the uploader-defined title, an infrared sensor aboard a U.S. military platform in the U.S. Central Command area recorded four areas of contrast transiting the frame together over water near Iran within about four seconds, followed by a fifth entering from the top left.
Background
AARO's official description states that this 20-second video, uploader-titled '4 UAP Formation Iran 26 Aug 2022 over water [call sign redacted]', is likely derived from an infrared sensor aboard a U.S. military platform operating within the U.S. Central Command area of responsibility in 2022; a user uploaded it to a classified network in June 2024, and AARO notes that many of these materials lack a substantiated chain of custody. Per the timestamped description, at 00:01–00:04 four areas of contrast transit the sensor field of view, entering from the lower third of the left side and exiting near the centre of the bottom of the frame, and at 00:05–00:06 another area of contrast enters from the top left corner. The date, the term 'formation' and the location Iran come from the uploader-defined title (DVIDS lists the location as 'IR'); the position is otherwise undisclosed, and AARO states that the description reflects no analytical judgment about the event's validity, nature or significance. The video was released following a 6 March 2026 request by eight members of the House of Representatives for 51 potentially UAP-related records. The details are taken from the records released by the U.S. Department of War (record code DOW-UAP-PR050) and do not represent an independent determination by From Beyond Space.
