On November 18, 2022, David Marler established the National UFO Historical Record Center (NUFOHRC) in Rio Rancho, New Mexico, to collect, preserve and make available historical UFO materials, including the archives of CUFOS and NICAP.

David Marler established the National UFO Historical Record Center in Rio Rancho, New Mexico, "dedicated to the preservation and centralization of UFO/UAP information in the United States." Its mission is to collect, preserve and provide historical UFO materials to the public and interested parties. Marler is executive director, with a team of UFO historians and archivists including Jan Aldrich, Rod Dyke, Barry Greenwood, Mark Rodeghier and Rob Swiatek. NUFOHRC houses the archives of the Center for UFO Studies and the National Investigations Committee on Aerial Phenomena and material from more than 70 other collections, and was working to acquire a building for a library, workspace and public museum.
