Avon Park Air Force Range, Florida: Contractors see large bronze cylindrical object vanish
At 7:30 a.m. on 15 September 2023, four civilian lidar contractors driving through restricted range R2901 at Avon Park Air Force Range, Florida, saw a bronze-colored cylindrical object about 500 feet up that vanished instantaneously; the base notified the FAA Miami center.
Background
At 7:30 a.m. on 15 September 2023, four civilian contractors working on a lidar project assigned to Avon Park Air Force Range in central Florida were transporting small unmanned aerial vehicles in two trucks through the restricted range designated R2901. They observed a bright reflection in the sky coming from a cylindrical, bronze-colored, metallic object about 500 feet in the air, approximately the length of "three traffic helicopters combined" (130 to 195 feet). It disappeared instantaneously "right in front of their eyes." One of the contractors sent a message to the base at 9:38 a.m., and the officer notified the military desk at the FAA Miami Air Route Traffic Control Center. The witness statements and a composite sketch were released by the Department of War in the PURSUE release. The account follows the entry in George M. Eberhart's chronology UFOs and Intelligence (CUFOS) and the sources cited there; it is not an independent determination by From Beyond Space.
