Aegean Sea: AFSOC crew tracks circular UAP skimming the water with sharp 90-degree turns
On 27 October 2023 at 00:35 UTC, a U.S. Air Force Special Operations aircraft of the 33rd Special Operations Squadron, en route from Larissa, Greece, observed on its full-motion video a seemingly circular UAP flying just above the sea surface and making multiple 90-degree turns at an estimated 80 mph before it was lost from the feed at 00:38 UTC.
Background
Mission report DOW-UAP-D33 (USCENTCOM, declassified 22 January 2026) covers a 13-hour-30-minute ISR sortie of the 33rd Special Operations Squadron (27th Special Operations Wing, AFSOC) that took off from Larissa, Greece (LGLR), at 23:39 UTC on 26 October 2023 and landed at Muwaffaq Salti Air Base, Jordan. At 00:35:12 UTC on 27 October, while en route to its target, the crew spotted a UAP flying just above the surface of the ocean; it was seemingly circular and too small to make out details, took multiple sharp 90-degree turns at an estimated 80 mph, and was lost from the feed at 00:38 UTC. The UAP section records the physical state as solid, propulsion unknown, no signatures, no response to the observer, no effects on persons or equipment, observer assessment 'benign' and an estimated last-seen position in grid zone 35S KD (partly redacted) with a radius of five units. Aircraft type, tail number and callsign are redacted; the primary sensor was FMV with an AN/DAS-4 targeting pod. The details are taken from the records released by the U.S. Department of War (record code DOW-UAP-D33) and do not represent an independent determination by From Beyond Space.
