Netflix Encounters: later controversy over a hoax claim
In the Netflix documentary Encounters, a former pupil claimed he had triggered the incident. The claim contradicts earlier statements by the same participant and other witness accounts in the film.
Background
This later controversy does not retroactively explain the whole case, but it belongs to the source landscape: the Ariel School incident remains not only a 1994 event, but a contested object of memory and media.
