Background

The mission report (MISREP) of an AFSOC aircraft of the 33rd Special Operations Squadron (type, tail number and callsign redacted) records a 20-hour ISR mission that took off from Larissa (LGLR), Greece, at 01:09 UTC on 25 January 2024 under USCENTCOM. At 05:09 UTC, while in transit at flight level 250, heading 162, 176 knots, in MGRS grid 35S QT (remainder redacted), the crew observed one UAP described as a 'round diamond shape with straight, non-manoeuvrable tail' flying at approximately 434 knots, estimated at flight level 200 with a westerly track. The object maintained a steady flight path, increased and decreased its altitude profile and did not change trajectory; it was visible only on the SWIR camera (signature 'SWIR WHT'). The event lasted about two minutes, ending at 05:11 UTC without further incident; assessment 'benign', no interrogation, engagement, effects or recovered material. The UAP event serial number is 250509ZJAN2024-CENTCOM 001. The report was declassified by USCENTCOM on 24 October 2025. The details are taken from the records released by the U.S. Department of War (record code DOW-UAP-D25) and do not represent an independent determination by From Beyond Space.
