Washington, D.C.: House UAP Caucus members get classified AARO briefing in a SCIF
On 17 April 2024, a few members of the informal bipartisan House UAP Caucus attend a classified briefing by AARO Acting Director Timothy Phillips and Maj. Gen. David W. Abba, director of the DoD Special Access Program Central Office, in a SCIF; Rep. Tim Burchett afterwards says there was no reason for any of it to be in a SCIF.
Background
On 17 April 2024, a few members of the House UAP Caucus, an informal bipartisan group, attend a classified briefing with AARO Acting Director Timothy Phillips and Maj. Gen. David W. Abba, director of the DoD Special Access Program Central Office, in a Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF). Prior to the event, a group calling itself the UAP Caucus, apparently unaffiliated with the House UAP Caucus, releases a briefing packet with a list of questions it would like to have answered. Afterwards, Rep. Tim Burchett tells a reporter: "There's no reason any of that stuff was in a SCIF, other than to get us not to talk about it." The briefing is covered by NewsNation on the same day and by Ask a Pol on 18 April. The account follows the entry in George M. Eberhart's chronology UFOs and Intelligence (CUFOS) and the sources cited there; it is not an independent determination by From Beyond Space.
