AARO Releases PR122 UAP Video from the Gulf of Oman
AARO released the 26-second PR122 video concerning a UAP report from the Gulf of Oman. The footage was recorded on September 8, 2021 as a cellular-device capture of an infrared sensor display aboard an AC-130J gunship.
Background
AARO made PR122 publicly available through DVIDS on August 7, 2026. The video belongs to the contemporaneously recorded PR117–PR122 sequence and shows areas of contrast moving through an infrared sensor's field of view.
The official source describes the material as a secondary recording of a sensor display rather than native primary data. Blur, flicker, and other recording artifacts may therefore be present. AARO also states that PR122 substantially overlaps PR121 and that its descriptive notes do not constitute an analytical judgment or determination about the phenomenon's nature.
Significance
The release expands the public record of official US UAP footage with a specifically identified video, capture date, location, and sensor platform. Its limited fidelity and substantial overlap with PR121 are important constraints on interpretation.
