Donald Trump

Donald J. Trump is an American businessman, media figure, and politician who served as the 45th and 47th President of the United States. In UAP history, his relevance is less that of a researcher or eyewitness than that of a president whose administrations turned several UFO/UAP records, military, and secrecy questions into formal government processes. In 2020 he signed a funding package that required an intelligence-community report on unidentified aerial phenomena, in the later disclosure period, that reporting mandate became one building block for congressional hearings, AARO, and further records demands.

During his second term, Trump again pushed the subject into the machinery of government through public directives and political communication: he announced UFO file releases, referred to conversations with military pilots about unexplained observations, and pressed the Pentagon, White House, and Department of War to identify and publish additional UFO/UAP records, including PURSUE and later tranche releases. The result was not proof of extraterrestrial life, but visible political and administrative pressure on agencies: AARO coordination, requests from lawmakers such as Anna Paulina Luna, new FOIA disputes over classified photographs, and UAP provisions in defense legislation. Trump’s role is therefore mainly the power to put disclosure promises, file releases, and agency answers onto the public agenda.
