Léon Brenig is a Belgian nonlinear dynamics theorist at the Free University in Brussels who played a key role in the scientific investigation of the 1989–1991 Belgian UFO wave. As a member of SOBEPS, he worked alongside physicist Auguste Meessen to apply rigorous scientific methodology to UAP reports. Brenig became a direct witness to the phenomenon on March 18, 1990, when he observed the so-called Belgian triangle while driving in the Ardennes. His involvement helped establish credibility for the investigation among the scientific community.
