Philip Schneider (1947–1996) was an American geologist and engineer who became known in UFO conspiracy circles through 1995 lectures about alleged underground military bases and a claimed 1979 incident near Dulce, New Mexico. His statements connected UFO secrecy, alleged non-human beings, and government cover-up narratives, but the central claims are not supported by verifiable public evidence.
His relevance for UAP history is therefore not as a confirmed witness account, but as an example of how Dulce-base stories and underground-facility claims circulated through lectures, recordings, and later online UFO/conspiracy culture. Schneider died in 1996, officially recorded as suicide, murder claims around his death remain unverified.
