Western US Event
This document is a summary of statements by seven US PERSONs employed by the federal government who separately reported observing several unidentified anomalous phenomena in the western United States over the course of two days in 2023. The summary notes the US PERSONS reported four distinct categories of experiences, including observing “orbs launching other orbs” at a distance, observing a large stationary glowing orb at close estimated range, pursuing a large phenomenon near the ground, and observing a large, seemingly transparent phenomenon, reported to being akin to a “translucent kite.” Although there is no technical data directly associated with this report, contextual factors — such as these events sharing features with others reported to the All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO), the reporters’ credibility, and the potentially anomalous nature of the events themselves — combine to make this report among the most compelling within AARO’s current holdings.

Short overview
A four-slide summary of what six federal law enforcement special agents observed in the western United States (in 2023, according to the official description), grouped into four kinds of events: “Orbs Launching Orbs,” a “Large, Fiery Orb,” a “Dark Kite” and a “Transparent Kite.” A seventh agent was present at one sighting but did not see the object.
Why this is interesting
Three two-agent teams independently describe orange orbs at dusk that launched groups of two to four smaller red orbs at least five times, each orange orb visible for only a second or two. Two agents describe a glowing orange orb perched near a rock pinnacle for about a minute; AARO’s later measurements put it at about 1,050 meters away and 12 to 18 meters across, larger and farther than the witnesses estimated. Before dawn, the same two agents pursued what looked like a car with a red and a white light on a restricted road; it moved sideways off the road without turning, and in night vision goggles appeared as a thin line, later described to AARO as triangular. About 30 minutes later, a canted, kite-shaped object through which stars seemed faintly visible was seen nearby, and a spotlight beam appeared to stop at about 50 yards “on nothing in particular.” The slides include recreations of drawings by one witness and an artist’s rendering; the official description calls the report among the most compelling in AARO’s holdings, although no technical data are attached.
Selected passages
- “Each time, the orange orb would appear, launch red orbs, then disappear.”
- “Measurements later gathered by AARO assess the object to have been ~1050 meters away from the observers.”
- “the object suddenly moved off the road over the desert without changing its orientation with respect to the observers”
