Ponta Porã, Brazil: Two red and silver spheres follow family's jeep for two hours
From 6:30 p.m. on 21 December 1957 two spherical lights with a Saturn-like ring followed a jeep carrying Yvonne Torres de Mendonça, her children, a servant and driver Marcio Gonçalves to Ponta Porã, Mato Grosso do Sul, for two hours.
Background
Yvonne Torres de Mendonça, her three small children and a servant were travelling in a jeep driven by her mechanic, Marcio Gonçalves, towards Ponta Porã, Mato Grosso do Sul, Brazil, along the Paraguayan border. They saw a large ball of light about the size of the full moon moving toward them and realised it was two lights flying silently side by side. The lights straddled the road with a wobbling motion and spun on their axes; one stopped in mid-air and dived toward the ground in a falling-leaf motion 60 feet ahead, while the other circled the jeep. The spheres had a Saturn-like ring at the centre, a fiery red upper half and rim and a silvery white lower half. They followed the jeep for two hours all the way to town, manoeuvring around it, especially when the jeep stopped twice. Eberhart cites Olavo T.
