Yellow Sea: Infrared sensor tracks 'spherical UAP in clouds' on 5 January 2023
On 5 January 2023 an infrared sensor aboard a U.S. military platform over the Yellow Sea (INDOPACOM) recorded 1 minute 10 seconds of video in which an area of contrast, titled by uploaders 'spherical UAP in clouds', enters the frame several times and is tracked from left to right.
Background
Record DOW-UAP-PR057a is a video with the uploader-defined title 'Spherical UAP in clouds', uploaded to a classified network in June 2024. AARO assesses it as likely derived from an infrared sensor aboard a U.S. military platform operating above the Yellow Sea in January 2023 and notes that the media is a duplicate of DOW-UAP-PR57b, alternately titled '[Platform] observes UAP in East China Sea 05 JAN 2023 INDOPACOM', because two uploaders titled the same material differently. The material lacks a substantiated chain of custody and the official description contains no judgement on the event. Per that description (duration 1:10): at 00:07–00:08 an area of contrast enters from the left and exits at the right; from 00:21 an area of contrast enters from the left and becomes indistinguishable; at 00:32–00:34 the sensor zooms in and an area of contrast becomes distinguishable near the centre; from 00:35 to 00:52 the sensor tracks it from left to right; at 00:53–00:56 it transits the lower third of the frame. The 'spherical' characterisation comes from the uploader's title only. The details are taken from the records released by the U.S. Department of War (record code DOW-UAP-PR057a) and do not represent an independent determination by From Beyond Space.
