Operation Inherent Resolve: crew reports six small spherical objects grouped together
A U.S. Air Force mission report records, for 29 July 2025, six small spherical objects grouped together that seemed agile and changed direction quickly and simultaneously. The report and an infrared video were released in September 2026.
Background
The UAP section of the form gives first contact at 20:22:32 Zulu and describes “6X SMALL SPHERICAL OBJECTS GROUPED TOGETHER”. All kinematic values are marked as estimated: flight level 220, 480 miles per hour, heading south-east, while the reporting aircraft flew north-west at 120 knots. The state is entered as “Solid”; propulsion, intelligent control and radio-frequency data are listed as unknown. The report denies any reaction to the observer, any effect on persons or equipment, and any recovered material.
Aircraft type, call sign, all locations and coordinates, the sensors, the UAP signatures, the observer’s own assessment and almost the entire free-text narrative are redacted. The field for the number of objects is empty; the figure six appears only in the description.
