Ubirajara Franco Rodrigues

Ubirajara Franco Rodrigues was a Brazilian lawyer, ufologist and one of the key local investigators of the 1996 Varginha case. Shortly after the best-known sighting, he interviewed Liliane Silva, Valquíria Silva and Kátia Xavier — two girls and a young woman who had described a small, seemingly non-human figure. Rodrigues collected statements, compared timelines and kept the case present in Brazilian UFO research for years. His work helped make Varginha internationally known, but it does not prove the disputed recovery and cover-up claims; official sources denied central parts of the account.
